Privacy policy

Workibe is built and operated by Codenovous Digital LLP, a software company based in India ("Workibe", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Workibe app and website, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Account details. When you sign up we collect your name, phone number and/or email address, and an optional profile photo and occupation. Phone and email sign-in use a one-time passcode — we never see or store your OTP provider's credentials.

Location. With your permission, we use your device's location to show nearby cafés and centre the map. You can decline and pick your city manually instead.

Booking and payment data. We store the bookings you make and the payment status, amount and gateway reference for each one. Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly into Razorpay's own secure checkout — Workibe never receives or stores your payment credentials, only the confirmation reference Razorpay returns.

Photos. We request photo-library access so you can save or attach images such as your booking QR code.

Push notifications. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token to send you booking confirmations, reminders and status updates.

We use your data to create and manage your bookings, process payments through Razorpay, show you relevant cafés and availability, send booking and account notifications, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps or websites.

We share the minimum data needed with: Razorpay, to process payments; Google, to display maps and location results; Firebase (Google), to deliver push notifications; and the café you book with, which sees your name and booking details in order to host you. We do not share your data with any other third party for marketing purposes.

You can decline location and notification permissions at any time from your device settings without losing the ability to browse and book cafés manually. To update your profile details, correct inaccurate information, or request that we delete your account and associated data, contact us at harsh@codenovousdigital.com. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to any records we are legally required to keep (for example, completed payment records).

We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and payment records for as long as required by Indian law. Access tokens are stored securely on your device and never in plain text. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Workibe is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy as Workibe evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and we'll notify you in the app for significant changes.
